An evening with Christina James

Thu 18th Oct, 7:15pm

£5.00

Christina is returning to Bookmark to talk about and sign copies of her latest book in her DI Yates crime series, which is set in and around the Spalding area.

In ‘Gentleman Jack’, DI Tim Yates is perplexed by a series of farm vehicle thefts that have gripped the county, seemingly committed at random.  The perpetrators never leave any clues.  Superintendent Thornton – and the local farming hierarchy – are running out of patience at Tim’s failure to make progress.  Then the victims of a grisly double murder are discovered in the Fossdyke Canal, near Lincoln.  Despite his own massive workload, Tim is sent to Lincoln to help DI Robinson, an old rival.  A third murder victim is found in the canal.  Shortly afterwards, a social worker out for the evening is viciously killed in The Butter Market in Spalding.  At first there appears to be no relationship between these events, but as Tim digs deeper he and Juliet, ably supported by Katrin, his wife, discover some alarming similarities between them and past crimes.  This is the seventh novel in the DI Yates series and the first about a serial killer.

Tickets are £5 to include a glass of wine or juice.

If you are unable to attend the evening event, Christina will be in Bookmark on Tuesday 16th October from 12 – 2pm to sign copies of her books so you are welcome to come along then instead!
