Christine is Professor of Nursing History at the University of Manchester and has written several books about nursing in the first world war. She will be here to talk about and sign copies of her latest book ‘Nurses of Passchendale’. Drawing on letters, diaries and personal accounts she tells the stories of the nurses of many nations who cared for the traumatised and damaged soldiers being brought back from the front line.

Tickets are £5 to include a glass of wine or juice.
